PRINKADIPA is a collaborative effort between a mother and her son, symbolizing their unique journey and the profound emotions they have experienced together. The project originated from the mother’s deep appreciation for Dipa’s drawings and her recognition of something extraordinary in his artwork. Dipa was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at an early age, before he turned 2. His passion for drawing emerged when he was merely 4 years old. What struck his mother was the genuine sincerity she felt in his artwork and his ability to simplify complex objects that are often considered challenging to depict. As Dipa’s artistic abilities developed over time, his drawings began to hold a significant place in their lives.
The collaboration between mother and son went beyond mere sketches on paper; it became a way for them to express and communicate their profound emotions & experiences. PrinkaDipa aims to share their journey with the world, offering a glimpse into the unique perspective of an individual with ASD and the connection between a mother and her son. The artwork created through this collaboration serves as a medium to convey their shared experiences, emotions, and the beauty they find in simplicity.
By sharing their story, PrinkaDipa hopes to inspire others, raise awareness about autism, and foster understanding and acceptance for individuals with ASD. Through their art, they hope to convey the depth of emotions and the extraordinary beauty that can be found in even the simplest of things.
